Accounts payable
Money a property owes to vendors and suppliers for bills received but not yet paid.
Accounts payable (AP) covers vendor invoices for repairs, utilities, landscaping, insurance and other property costs. A typical AP process enters the bill, codes it to a property and expense account, routes it for approval, and pays it from the right bank account.
Clean AP keeps vendors willing to respond quickly and keeps owner statements accurate. In trust accounting, bills must be paid from the owning property's funds, never from another owner's money.
