Building a preventive maintenance calendar
Set up the recurring items every property needs, and a weekly routine to keep up with them.
Preventive maintenance only works if it is written down and checked. Schedules under Operations › Maintenance do both.
A starter list
- Smoke detector batteries and fire extinguisher inspections.
- HVAC filter replacement, set up per unit from the unit's page.
- Dryer vent cleaning and water heater flushes.
- Elevator inspections, where you have elevators.
- Gutter cleaning and seasonal exterior checks.
