Lesson 4 of 5 · 7 min

Give your team access and roles

Security groups decide what people can do and see; team assignments decide who works which property.

Access in StrivBridge has two layers. Users & roles controls what a person is allowed to see and change. Team & assignments controls who actually works each property and who reports to whom, which drives lists like Lead Manager and My Follow-Ups.

Build security groups

  1. Open Setup › Users & roles and create a security group for each job, for example Leasing Agent, Property Manager, Accounting and Maintenance.
  2. On the group's page, add grants for the records the group may read or change.
  3. Set the Property scope. Restricting by property group means the scope follows the group as you add buildings.
  4. Set Navigation: which screens members see in the sidebar and in search. This tidies the menu; data access is still governed by the grants.
  5. Pick a Dashboard default so new members start from a useful home screen. Each person can still customize their own.
  6. Add members to the group.
Dashboard tiles: occupancy, rent collected, delinquent balance, open work orders, net operating income and days to lease.
